But when the Prophet decrees that she must marry her sixty-year-old uncle-who already has six wives-Kyra must make a desperate choice in the face of violence and her own fears of losing her family forever.

Oh my gosh, what can I say. This book is incredible and heart breaking. The Chosen One basically takes place in a Mormon cult and some of the things they do in a cult are horrible. In this book, a thirteen-year-old girl named Kyra is destined to marry her sixty-year-old uncle. The story is amazing, but you can't help feel sorry for these people. The characters in this book say that they are doing God's will, but everything they do in this book isn't God's will. It's really sad.

I'm really glad that I read this book because it's really interesting to learn about these type of people, and I'm happy that the book ended well. So I do recommend teens to read this book, but keep in mind that some of the parts in this book are pretty unbelievable.

But if you get past all of those things, the story is very well written and a great page turner. I read this book in six days.

So please, read this book, it's a good one!

Who is your favorite character? Well, there's not a lot of lovable characters in this book, but I would have to say that Kyra and Laura are my favorite characters. But I am a sucker for babies, so I loved Mariah, too.

What did you like about this book? The thing that I liked about this book is that Kyra knew that she had to get away, and also that the book ended well.

What's your favorite part of this book? SPOILER ALERT!! My favorite part in this book would have to be the part when the police arrive, the God Squad is arrested, and Kyra gets to be with someone that understands what she went through.

Romance: There is only a little bit of romance because part of the plot-line is that she falls in love with a boy her age but she is destined to marry her uncle. Her uncle tries to get her to kiss her goodnight, but she won't. She talks and thinks about how she can't let him touch her when they're married. Joshua and Kyra kiss a few times.

Violence: There is some violence in this book, not it's not gory. I think the worst scene was how they punish the babies just because they won't stop crying. They punish them by getting a big tub of ice water, taking the babies clothing off, plugging the babies nose and dunking them under a few times. This was the part that almost made me cry. There are a couple of beating scenes where the girls get beat up for disobeying the Brothers or Prophets. One character is shot and dies.

Drug Use: None.

Language: Just a few "what the hells."

Alcohol: None.

Other: When Kyra and her mothers go into town, they see a girl smoking. Talk of how any other clothing for girls except dresses that cover their whole entire body is from the devil.

This book is a best seller and has been recommend by some of my favorite and best-selling authors, so please read this book and become another person that loves this book.

It is a darkly humorous tale of crime and punishment-and redemption.

This book is incredible. This is my second time reading it and the mystery is still interesting. Louis Sachar is an amazing author. This book is well thought out and it must have taken a while to think up this story so all the pieces fit together, but this author did it. I really do advise you to read this book. The mystery of this story will take hold of you until you finish the last page.

I haven't read a mystery book like this since the last time I read this book. The mystery is just so complex and it makes you gasp because everything starts to fit together at the end. So please, read this book, you won't be sorry.

Who is your favorite character? Zero has to be my favorite character. He is my favorite character because he is just so kind and has a good heart. And I'm glad that everything ends up good for him.

What did you like about this book? I think I've said it about a hundred times already, but the mystery is what I like about this book. But all the characters and settings are pretty amazing in this book too.

What's your favorite part of this book? Oh, wow. I don't know what my favorite part of this book is. I did really like the chapters in the book that had Sam and Kate Barlow in it.

Romance: There is no offensive romance in this book. There is one kiss, and a part in the book where one character is trying to make another character become his wife.

Violence: There's not really any violence. There is talk of rattle-snakes and yellow-spotted lizards and how one bite of a yellow-spotted lizard can kill you. SPOILER ALERT! There is also one scene where Kate Barlow gets pushed around by a man and his wife trying to get her to show them where her treasure is. And another where Kate Barlow gets bitten by a yellow-spotted lizards but it's not graphic at all. Zero also drinks some spoiled peaches and has really bad stomach cramps. Zero slams a shovel into a characters face. There is one fight scene that is a little graphic, just punches being thrown, no blood or anything. I know this may seem like a lot, but it was nothing. Just part of the story.

Drug Use: None.

Language: One "oh my god" and one "what the hell?"

Alcohol: There is one part in the book where the sheriff tries to get Kate Barlow to kiss but she won't because for one, she's not in love with him, and two, he's drunk. But that's only one very small part of the book.

Other: Mr. Sir smokes, and some talk about the the camp was abusive.

Please read this book. You won't regret it.

The only thing she knows to be true is that she;s falling deeply and helplessly in love with him.

So, I really liked this book. For the story part. There was a whole bunch of stuff that I didn't agree with though. There was language, sexual things, violence, and alcohol. Other then that, this book is a lot like Twilight. But Twilight doesn't have any of those things, except an occasional "D" word and a little bit of violence. So if I was rating it on the story I would keep it at 3 1/2, but if I was rating it on how much bad stuff was in the book I would rate it at about a 1 1/2.

But if you get past all of those things, the story is very good. You'll be staying up late like I did to finish it.

Who is your favorite character? I don't really have a favorite character. But if I had to choose one, and get passed all the stupid things she did, it would have to be Ever.

What did you like about this book? I liked the story. The story was interesting but kind of hard to understand, that's why I read it twice.

What's your favorite part of this book? SPOILER ALERT!!! I do really like action scenes, so even though that the action scenes were a little bit to violent, I really did like the parts when Ever fought Drina.

Romance: There is a lot of kissing in this book. Even one part where they almost have sex, but it's not really descriptive which is the good thing. Another character is homosexual. Ever's little sister is a ghost so she can go anywhere and see anything without other people see her. There is also some talk of sex.

Violence: There are two scenes in the book where there is a lot of violence.

Drug Use: None.

Language: There is actually a lot of language in the book. There is about 3 "F" words, and almost everything below that.

Alcohol: In a part of the book, Ever finds out that if she is drunk she doesn't hear all of the voices or see all of the auras. She actually gets expelled because she gets caught drinking in school.

Other: Ever can see ghosts, read people's minds, and some other stuff, too. There is another character that can see ghosts and read peoples mind.

Even though there was some things that I didn't agree with, I still thought it was a good book and I will be reading the rest of the series.

This book is like a teen retelling of Peter Pan. I was kind of surprised at how different it was, but it was good different. I loved the way that the author, Peter David, used his imagination and created a whole new story for Peter Pan. There is the regular Peter Pan things in there, Caption Hook is Caption Hack and he has a sister named Caption Slash. Tinkerbell is Fiddlefix and there is an Indian Princess, too.

I did like this book. My mom had read it a few years ago and I finally picked it up and started reading it. In some ways this author reminds me of Lemony Snicket because the author always started talking in the middle of his book, but not as a character but just as the author. Do you guys understand that?

I really did love this book and I also loved how it ended.

Who is your favorite character? I really liked Paul and "The Boy" (who you can tell is Peter Pan). They were both two different characters, but I liked them both. I liked how Paul wanted to please his mom by bringing home a new baby girl.

What did you like about this book? I liked that it was unique and that all the characters where unique.

What's your favorite part of this book? SPOILER ALERT! I liked when Paul got his name, Tigerheart and I also like the part at the end of the book were Paul returns to his family and The Boy finds outs why the window was closed.

Romance: There is a little bit of romance, some of which I was really surprised by. SPOILER ALERT!There is one part in the book where The Boy is aging and the Indian Princess takes him into the tent and has guards outside and won't lent anybody in until morning. And when Gwenny (who you can tell is Wendy) and Paul go into the tent the next morning, The Boy is out of the tent and Princess Picca (the Indian Princess) is wrapped in a blanket with bar shoulders and bar feet. So you can kind of tell what was going on but the book never says what happens, that you have to keep it up to your imagination. But I was kind of disappointed about this part.

Violence: Well, this book is a lot like Peter Pan so of course there is a lot of sword fights. There is a lot of that, but it's not gruesome.

Drug Use: None

Language: There is a little bit of language but not to horrible. There is about 2-3 "D" words and I think one Oh my Go*.

But over all of this, this book was "awesome!"

Hannah Montana Forever

First of all, I was kind of disappointed by this movie. I guess I misunderstood and thought it would have the last episodes of the whole entire season. So the first one was the only one I hadn't seen. But over all, I really did like how she revealed herself and I thought it was pretty good. Just make sure that the viewers know that this DVD is just a DVD with about 4-6 episodes where in each one she reveals herself to the world and her friends.

OK, so you can tell from the description of the book that I would think it was really good, right? Well, the story part of the book is fantastic, but I'm only 93 pages into the book and the language and the sexual content is really bad. So far, there hasn't been a downright sex scene, but there has been a lot of sexual things through out the first chapters of the book. The language is also pretty bad.

So you can tell that I haven't finished the book, but I thought I should go ahead and write the review and just let all of you readers know to be cautious of this book.

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam

Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam is a really good movie. I think it might even be better then the first one! I love the story, and I love most of the music. I also love how they added a little side story into the movie about Nate and this girl named, Dana.

I have always loved Demi Lavota's voice, and this movie and it's music totally gives her justice. I love the song that Demi Lavota and Joe Jonas sing together, Wouldn't Change a Thing.

So if you are a fan of Camp Rock, you should definitely watch this movie. It's one of my favorites.

This book took me SO long too read, but it was worth it. The Fellowship of the Ring is definitely one of my favorites. I knew when I first started this book that it would take me a long time to read it, because it took me so long to read The Hobbit, but I think I may have finished it sooner if my summer hadn't been so hectic.

Why Did I Like This Book So Much?: I think why I like it so much is just because the story is really unique and fun to read about!

Who is My Favorite Character?: I don't really have a favorite character, but I do have favorite characters. I really like Frodo, Sam, and Gandalf. I don't really know though, but I do know that I like all of the characters.

Will I Be Reading the Rest of the Series?: Yes, I will be, but I don't know when that will be. But I definitely won't be missing out on the rest of the trilogy.

I Apologize

Hey guys, I apologize for not posting in such a long time. I've had such a crazy summer. In fact it's been one of the worst summers ever. I have had FOUR HOSPITAL STAYS THIS SUMMER. I know, that's part of the reason why I haven't had very much time to read.

I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease this summer. Crohn's diease is an inflammatory bowel disease, and if you don't know what that is just ask. I had my first hospital stay in June, that was only for two days. After that I had another hospital stay at the end of July, and I stayed in the hospital for 7 days. I had developed abscesses because I had been eating food, and food got stuck in my intestines and then it started to rot. I know, disgusting. Anyway, to broke through and started an abscess.

I had that abscess drained, and everything seemed well. In the mean time, I had been on three different meds for the inflammation, but the inflammation hadn't gotten any better. I went home for 8 days and that next Monday, I ended up in the hospital...again. I had developed THREE MORE ABSCESSES! By that time that was my 5th CT scan, and on the C T scan they saw that they couldn't drain the abscesses because there was a thing like a bridge, combining all three to my intestine. So if they put a drain in, my intestine would keep feeding it.

So the doctors just put me on a heavy dose of antibiotics and sent me home, after 5 days in the hospital. My doctor sent me home NPO (nothing by mouth) and I was eating clear liquids for a month. Why he did that was because he wanted to give ones of the medications a chance to work, and every time I ate food, I developed abscesses, so he wanted NO food at all in my stomach so the meds had a chance to work.

After a month we did another CT scan to see if the medication had worked. The three abscesses were gone, but the inflammation wasn't. :( So we decided to talk with a surgeon.

I had surgery on Thursday, and I've been in the hospital ever since. The surgeon took out all my intestines and examined them, and the rest of the looked really good. So that was a little bit of good news.

So...as you have read...I have had a ruff summer. But I am almost done the The Lord of the Rings, I have forty pages left and I will hopefully finish it this week.

Bones of Faerie by Janni Lee Simner

I found this book very different then anything else I had ever read before. I thought it was good, but it was very dark in places. For one, the main character has a abusive dad who believes it's OK to kill people "infested" with magic.

When I say magic, I don't mean magic like Harry Potter magic, this magic is a little bit more dark and not as fun as Harry Potter. In this book, magic can be good and bad, and I guess that is in every "magical" book, but this one I found much darker, like I said, then any other magic based book that I've read before.

My Favorite Kid Movies

Last night I was thinking of writing a post about my favorite kids movies that, of course, I watched as a kid and still like to watch today as a teenager. These movies I don't get tired of watching and since I have three younger brothers I watch some of them a lot. I also included some television shows, too.

1. Spy Kids

I just finished watching this movie for the thousandth time last night and I still love this movie. This is a great movie for kids because it's goofy and there is a little bit of action in it, too. But I think that the second Spy Kids was better then the first a third.

2. The Incredibles

All of my brother's love this movie, myself included. I love it that the writers made a great plot for this movie with making it really interesting, keeping you hooked, all throughout the movie without making it scary for the younger kids.

3. The Backyardigans

OK, yes, I know, I know, that this movie is for really young kids but my littlest brother was watching this TV show the other day and I see why he still likes it. This TV show is great for little kids!

4. Zoom

This movie, Zoom, is a great action movie, and it also have a little bit of humor in it, too. I have loved a lot of things Tim Allen has been in, Santa Clause being probably my favorite out of all of them, and this one was great, too.

5. The Great Mouse Detective

I have loved this movie for a long time, and like all of the other movies, I never get tired of watching this one. I love mysteries, for a long time, so this is a great little kids mystery. There was one part that kind of freaked me out as a kid, just makes you jump a little, but it's still a great movie.

6. National Treasure

I love this movie. My papa, or grandpa, who loves movie, he has about over 200 movies in the upstairs of his house, loves this movie, too, even though it's a kids movie. I love this movie because it has a great plot to it, that's full of action and suspense.

7. Beauty and the Beast

I still love this movie, I love the romance and I love the point of the story. And since it's about a princess, little girls will love this movie, too. And who knows, maybe some little boys, too.

8. Treasure Planet

I remember watching this movie as a kid with my brothers and loving it. I haven't watched it for a long time, but it's still one of my favorites!

9. The Little Mermaid

This is another little princess movie that I love, and I'm not ashamed to admit it. I think that a lot of teenagers think that these movies are stupid and are for little 3-year-olds, but I'm a teenager and I still like this movie, and I don't get tired of it, but that may be because I haven't watched it for a while. But I still think this movie is a great kids movie.

10. Tinkerbell

I first thought this movie was going to be dumb when I first watched it but, I love this movie. And all of my brothers do, too!

11. Shrek

This movie is probably my favorite out of all the Shrek movies. Of course I haven't seen the fourth on yet, but so far this one is my favorite. I don't know why, but I don't get tired of watching this one!

Star Struck Movie

Description: Get Starstruck with hunky young pop star Christopher Wilde, as he gets tangled up through a chance meeting with small-town girl Jessica Olsen, and experience their hilarious adventures set against the backdrop of Hollywood.

I really liked this movie and the acting was good. But I think this movie would have been a lot better, if they had done it more realistic. In once scene, Jessica, the main girl, and Christopher sink Jessica's grandmother's car, but she doesn't get in trouble for it. I wish they would have showed a scene were she told her parents and grandmother that she sunk the car in quick sand.

Other then all of this, the acting was great and so was the singing. Sterling Knight, who plays Christopher Wilde, has a great voice in my opinion.

This book is a great book, but it took me a long time to read. It took me a while to get used to the way they talked. One of the reasons why I like this book is because it had a lot of adventure in it. One after another something happens to the group. The book takes you through, trolls, eagles, goblins, elves and man. This is a great book if you want a good adventure, and I'm going to soon read the actual Lord of the Rings series.

I do recommend the book to everyone, except for younger children, and I also think that it's important to read this book because, for one, it's a classic, and two, because this book is very beautifully written and and every part of this book is awesome.

I have always loved the movie that Disney made and while I was reading it I realized that Disney changed a whole bunch of things in the movie. There was no Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum and in the book there is no Very Merry Un-Birthday either. They changed a lot more and I'm hoping that they won't do that for the real movie.

But I do think that lots of kids would love this story!

I can't wait for the movie and I think Alex Pettyfer is perfect for Kyle. I love the point of this story because it shows that you don't have to be beautiful to be popular or even find true love. I do recommend this book to people who like fairy tales and love stories.

This book is in modern times so they're references to making out and things like that. From what I remember I don't remember any language and if there was I don't think it was horrible. But if you look past all of this stuff, it's truly a great book!

This book will totally change your view about World War II. I never new much about except for the main stuff, until I read this book. The ending is very sad but I think that it is important to read, my mom assigned me to read this for school.

I do recommend this book, not because it's a classic, but because most of the people my age don't know much about the war, but this book will change that completely!

What I've Been Reading

Here is a post about a couple of things I have been reading. For school I have been reading, "A Diary of a Young Girl," which is about Anne Frank. I first thought it was going to be really boring, but now I'm almost halfway through it, and I think it is one of my favorites.

I'm also doing a Nancy Drew reading challenge, comment and ask about it and I'll tell you more, and I'm on the fourth book, "Mystery at Lilac Inn." So far I haven't got tired of them and hopefully I won't.

I have also been reading a lot of Karen Kingsbury's novels. They are very touching and inspiring Christian books. Karen Kingsbury is one of my favorite Christian authors!

For school I have also been reading poems and and short stories out of a book called, "Realms of Gold." These are two other books that I have been reading that have some great poems in it. They are called, "101 Great American Poems" and "100 Best-Loved Poems."

I hope this post has given you a few ideas to read if you want books about history and poems.

My mom talked me into reading this series and I'm glad she did because The Hunger Games series is great to read! Catching Fire I think probably better then the first one because there is a little bit more romance and action. It sure does leave a big cliff hanger, though.

I have read almost all of the Mortal Instruments series, which are one of my new favorites, a whole bunch of Karen Kingsbury's books, I love her writing, the the first book in The Immortals series, and also the Wicked Lovely series.

I love this series, Melissa keeps you reading until the last page. I finished the whole entire series in about a week. If you are going to read this series, keep in mind that the world that Melissa puts her characters in is kind of dark, but not to dark that it scared me. I do recommend this book to people!

These books are extremely well written and fun to read. Not only that, but it has a lot of action in this book. I love the plot line, and everything else. The characters are really cool and so is the story itself. There is a lot more language in this book then the first one, just to keep readers informed.

1. What are some of the things you like to do, except writing?

I love to read, do needle work, cook, and my favorite thing is to hang out with people! The more the merrier here at our house. I like to go to the movies too, but that's gotten pretty expensive, so I don't get to do that as much as I'd like.

2. How long have you been a Christian?

I've been Christian knowingly since I was three! But it's still been such a journey trying to figure out what it really means to be a true follower of Jesus, not someone who just believes it's all true.

3. I saw on the back of your teen books, another author encouraged you to write YA books, were you kind of nervous about them not being as good as your adult books?

I'm always nervous whatever I'm writing won't be any good, so it felt just the same!

4. In the Hollywood Nobody books, Seth and Scotty text a lot, did you have to learn what some of the letters and symbols mean? Like w means with, lol means laugh out loud, or did you know them off the top of your head?

I love text messaging, so I got into the language quickly. Now, I'm normally a full-word texter, but I receive a lot of them with symbols and abbreviations. I dropped my phone in the driveway last winter, it snowed overnight, so I had to get a new phone. I got one of those kind with the full keyboard and I love it.

5. Are you working on any books right now?

I'm working on my next adult novel and am dreaming up the possibilities for my next YA series! I stand in front of the Young Adult section in Barnes and Noble and am mystified sometimes. "What do people want to read that's different?" I know vampires, supernatural stuff is so popular, but do I want to add another vampire series to the mix? Or a series about mean girls? Hey, how about a series about mean vampire girls? So any help there would be appreciated!

6. Are you planning on writing any more YA books in the feature?

Ha! I just answered that! Great minds think alike! Hopefully I'll start working on one soon. (If I can just figure out what to write! Aah!!)

7. Where do you usually write your work? Do you write in bed, on a desk, or anything?

Anywhere. Bed. Couch. Front porch. And even my car! Sometimes, when I can't concentrate, I drive to a parking lot and work.

8. When did you know you wanted to write?

I've always loved to read, but I never really considered writing until I was 28! It's never too late to begin! I just decided to write a book, that's all. And I could basically do it. I really believe it's just a gift God gave me, and I'm very grateful.

9. In school, what are some of the things you were good at?

Well, let me first start off and say that I am not, nor have I ever been, good at Math. When the kids reach about 5th grade, their dad has to step in for homework help. I always loved history and biology. History, because it's one great big story, and biology because, well, the human body, nature in general, has always fascinated me. I mean . . . eyeballs . . . amazing, aren't they?

Capricorn, a being so evil he would "feed a bird to a cat on purpose, just to watch it being torn apart," has searched for Meggie's father for years, wanting to twist Mo's powerful talent to his own dark means. This book is really good! The author just has a great talent for writing. I loved the book the Thief Lord and this book I think is one of her bests also. I started reading this book a couple of years ago, and then I got bored and my mom started reading it to my brothers and I. And then I watched the movie and I wanted to read the book over again to refresh my memory so I could read Inkspell, this second book in this series.

I think that the villains and the heroes in the book are really cool and do recommend this book to everybody!

There is a little bit of laungage in this book. The "D" word a couple of times and Go* and stuff like that.

I really recommend this series for everyone!

My brother read this book and I thought I would read it, this book is very good but there were somethings that surprised me. There was a bit of language in this book like, Go*, jacka**, dam*, and things like that. Then there was some romantic stuff in the book, one part in the book Daniel sleeps in his crushes closet and he thinks that his crush want him to sleep with him. Then there is a one kiss on the cheek.

But I would recommend this book because it has a lot of action and, it says right on the book flap, that Spider man meets Men in Black. I do think that this is a mix of book and I do reccomend this book to everyone who likes a good action book!

Even though the ending is kind of sad, this book is important to read.

There is some language, one Son of a b****, Go*******, and things like that. Katie has a crush on a boy and has little stories about how she dreams she could be locked in a bathroom with him but there is nothing really sexual about it, just the dreams of a ten-year-old girl. And there is also discussions of french kissing and how Lynn kissed a boy. But if you get past all fo that, this book is truly amazing.

I don't think that they changed a lot from the book. The acting was really good, and the little boy who played Bo is just the most adorable 6-year-old I have ever seen!I think they could have done a little better on the make-belief stuff. Like when Scipio turns into adult, that's not exactly what I would have thought of him to look like. Some people may think differently.

But still I think if people like the book, they should watch the movie, but make sure you read the book first! :)

But I don't recommend this book to anybody.

This book is good but not one of my favorites. I think it does have a good story, but I think the relationship between Cammie and Josh went a little too fast. But I think some girls might like this book but it just depends on the girl. I thought this book was just all right, not perfect.

There are a couple of kisses in this book, and I don't exactly recall any language except in one part where it just says the character said the "B" word, but there might be a few Oh my Go*'s in there but I don't remember.

I think that this series is one of the best Christian YA books, and this series is along side the Christy Miller series! I want to thank the author for putting Scotty and Charley and all the other characters into this world!

Scotty does think that one of her friends slept with this movie star but it doesn't go into it a lot. Just a small discussion about it.

The language is fair enough I think. I was excepting for this book to be for like, 7 and 8 year old's, but than I figured out that it is more for 10 and up when I saw Oh my Go* twice. Now that word is not a big problem with me, but it might be to other readers.

Who is your favorite character and why? Oh, wow, that is hard. I think it would have to be their Papa. Why? Because of his courage to save his family.

What is your favorite part and why? It would have to be the end part, when you really how mean our country was to African American people. Why? I know it is kind of weird that I would pick that part but it is the most moving.

I think that so far, I still like the Christy Miller series better, them this series. But who knows what the author has in store!

I have read The Giver and Gathering Blue and now this one, Messenger. The last book in the series. Now, everything does make sense in the last book, why the author cut Jonas and Gabe completely out of the first book, and I like it that Kira and Matt come back.

But this book, I think didn't end very well. I mean it kind of did, but not the way I would have liked to end. I still think that if the author had written a little bit more in The Giver, that book would gave made a great book by itself.

I found it hard to understand parts of the book because of all the names you have to remember. The names of the cats are strange, and you mix cats up. But other then that, I think I will start reading the rest of the series!

The warden claims that this pointless labor builds character, but that's a lie. Stanley must try to dig up the truth.

I love this book. That is mostly all I have to say. This book totally keeps you on edge until the last page. The author is really talented and I really think this is a great book. I recommend it to all my friends and family. This book has rattlesnakes, yellow-spotted lizards, and holes. I think this is my new favorite!

This is one Oh my Go*, but that was really the only bad word I saw in the book. The boys at the camp are mean and rude, Stanley is mentioned to be fat and overweight. And then in a story the sheriff is drunk. But beyond this stuff, this book is great!

I read The Giver (the first book is this series) a while ago and absolutely loved it. This book...not so much. This book is about a completely new world and not about the same characters. The book ended badly also and it also didn't have as much suspense as The Giver did.

But I am going to read the last book because my mom said everything is dealt out in the last book. The only this that bothered me was that in like two sentences they said they bowed to a worship object. Something real minor, but the violence (which there was very little of) didn't bother me at all.

But to tell you the truth, I think that if the author had kind of finished it up in the first book, The Giver would have made a really good book with now sequel. But some of you might like this book, and some of you might not. But this is my opinion.

When May Bird falls into Briery Swamp and is pulled under, by who knows what, and then when she comes back up, is in another world. A world of danger and May doesn't understand what is happening to her.

With the help of Pumpkin, a house ghost, and other friends she meets along the way, May will search for The Book of The Dead and hopefully, she will get out of The Ever After.

There is some violence, one of the bad guys sucks people into nothingness, nothing really gruesome though.

This book is so is so incredible! Lois Lowry is such a good author! The world in this book, is so cool, and imaginary. Lois explains how awful our life would be without pain, without love (in this book it is wrong to say I love you) and without color. If you read this book, you can see how awesome our world is.

Who is your favorite character and why? It would have to be The Giver and Gabriel. Why? Because The Giver is loving and nice. He understands what Jonas is going through. And Gabriel because he is a baby, really adorable!

What is your favorite part and why? Probably at the end when Jonas is trying to get to Elsewhere. Why? Because Jonas is so loving because when he is trying to get away from the horrible world, he takes Gabriel with him because he knows that the people in his world is going to release Gabriel by killing him.

Are you like the main character why or why aren't you? I think I am! Why? Because at the end Jonas saves a child's life. I think I would do the same!

There are some discussions of kissing and because Christy got married they talk about how it is good to stay pure until marriage. It doesn't get into to detail but they do talk about it.
