Title: The Graveyard Book
Author: Neil Gaiman
Stars: 5
Description: Nobody Owens, known to his friends as Bod, is a normal boy. He would be completely normal if he didn't live in a sprawling graveyard, being raised and educated by ghosts, with a solitary guardian who belongs to neither the world of the living nor of the dead. There are dangers for a boy-an ancient Indigo Man beneath the hill, a gateway to a desert leading to an abandoned city of ghouls, the strange and terrible menace of the Sleer. But if Bod leaves the graveyard, then he will come under attack from the man Jack-who has already killed Bod's family....
This book is VERY good. I LOVE it. Neil Gaiman is one of my favorite authors. This book is about this boy, who's family was murdered one night and he survived when we was just a little baby. But now he is being raised by ghosts.
In this book you go through all kinds of adventures, the Sleer, the ghouls and meet all kinds of ghosts. If you like a really good adventure and a scary book, this is for you!
In this book there is some violence. Jack, the murderer, explains how he killed Bod's parents, not gruesomely though. And then there is some violence at the end of the book also.
5 stars!
