The Vile Village by Lemony Snicket

Title: The Vile Village

Author: Lemony Snicket

Stars: 5

Description: I can think of no single reason why anyone would want to open this book containing such unpleasant matters as migrating crows, an angry mob, a newspaper headline, the arrest of innocent people, the Deluxe Cell, and some very strange hats!

I like this book for a couple of reasons, 1) it ends differently then all the other books, 2) instead of one person raising the orphans, they have a whole village! I think that people will like this book just like the rest of them in the series!

The Ersatz Elevator by Lemony Snicket

Title: The Ersatz Elevator
Author: Lemony Snicket
Stars: 5
Description: Within the chapters of this story, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire encounter a darkened staircase, a red herring, some friends in a dire situation, three mysterious initials, a liar with an evil scheme, a secret passageway, and parsley soda.
I love this series and this book is as good as all the other books. The 13-book-series is a great, crazy, and funny series for 7 and up. Maybe younger. But these books, are great and I have recommend them to my friends (some of then have already read them) my brother, and my
mom.

The Austere Academy by Lemony Snicket

Title: The Austere Academy

Author: Lemony Snicket

Stars: 5

Description: Truth be told, within the chapters that make up this dreadful story, the children will face snapping crabs, strict punishments, dripping fungus, comprehensive , violin recitals, S.o.R.E., and the metric system!

The Baudelaire's are at a school, Prufrock Preparatory School! That sounds like a cheery place, right? Well, you are dead wrong. So dead wrong because Count Olaf, again, shows up and this time he has a great plan to get back at the orphans and get their fortune.

5 stars!

The Miserable Mill by Lemony Snicket

Title: The Miserable Mill

Author: Lemony Snicket

Stars: 5

Description: The pages of the book, I'm sorry to inform you, contain such unpleasantness as a giant pincher machine, a bad casserole, a mad with a cloud of smoke where his head should be, a hypnotist, a terrible accident resulting injury, and coupons.

Now the Baudelaire's are moving to a mill. A mill? You might ask. Yes, a mill, where they are supposed to work for stupid coupons. Well, this mill is not very fun. Has a mean Foreman, and a mean man named, "Sir." Well, through all these horrible things, you would think they could go through it right? Wrong!

The Wide Window by Lemony Snicket

Title: The Wide Window
Author: Lemony Snicket
Stars: 5
Description: If you haven't got the stomach for a story that includes a hurricane, a signaling device, hungry leeches, cold cucumber soup, a horrible villain, and a doll named Pretty Penny, then this book will probably fill you with despair.
After the Baudelaire's misfortune in The Bad Beginning and The Reptile Room you probably don't want to read this book. There are horrible things in the review you are reading. The Baudelaire's just happen to cross Count Olaf again, a hurricane, a helpless aunt, and more.

The Reptile Room by Lemony Snicket

Title: The Reptile Room
Author: Lemony Snicket
Stars: 5
Description: Within the pages you now hold in your hands, the three siblings endure a car accident, a terrible odor, a deadly serpent, a long knife, a large brass reading lamp, and the reappearance of a person they'd hoped never to see again. I am bound to record these tragic events, but you are free to put this book back on the shelf and seek something lighter.
After everything they went through in the first book, it starts to get better then worse. First the Baudelaire's parents died a in a fire they burned down their mansion and they are taken into Count Olaf's care. Count Olaf is a horrible man that wants to steal the Baudelaire's fortune.
But when the Baudelaire's are taken into Uncle Monty's care things start to get a lot better. Uncle Monty is really nice and is not at all cruel like Count Olaf. But soon Count Olaf is back trying to ruin their lives again.

The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket

Title: The Bad Beginning

Author: Lemony Snicket

Stars: 5

Description: From the very first page in this book when the children are at the beach and receive terrible news, continuing on through the entire story, disaster lurks at their heels. One might say they are magnets for misfortune. In this short book alone, the three youngsters encounter a greedy and repulsive villain, itchy clothing, a disastrous fire, a plot to steal their fortune, and a cold porridge for breakfast.

The Baudelaire's life is just horrible. Having that fire that killed their parents and that burned down their mansion, and the horrible clothing they have to wear, and most of all, Count Olaf. The mean, greedy, old man that is planing to steal their fortune.

I LOVE this book!

5 stars!
