The Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien

Title: Fellowship of the Ring
Author: J.R.R. Tolkien
Stars: 5
Description: In ancient times the Rings of Power were crafted by the Elven-smiths, and Sauron, the Dark Lord, forged the One Ring, filling it with his own power so that he could rule all others. But the One Ring was taken from him, and though he sought it through Middle-earth, it remained lost to him. After many ages it fell into the hands of Bilbo Baggins, as told in The Hobbit. In a sleepy village in the Shire, young Frodo Baggins finds himself faced with an immense task, as his elderly cousin Bilbo entrusts the Ring to his care. Frodo must leave his home and make a perilous journey across Middle-earth to the Cracks of Doom, there to destroy the Ring and foil the Dark Lord in his evil purpose.
This book took me SO long too read, but it was worth it. The Fellowship of the Ring is definitely one of my favorites. I knew when I first started this book that it would take me a long time to read it, because it took me so long to read The Hobbit, but I think I may have finished it sooner if my summer hadn't been so hectic.
Why Did I Like This Book So Much?: I think why I like it so much is just because the story is really unique and fun to read about!
Who is My Favorite Character?: I don't really have a favorite character, but I do have favorite characters. I really like Frodo, Sam, and Gandalf. I don't really know though, but I do know that I like all of the characters.
Will I Be Reading the Rest of the Series?: Yes, I will be, but I don't know when that will be. But I definitely won't be missing out on the rest of the trilogy.
So above all, I really love this book. Post a comment and tell me if you have ever read this book before, and if you haven't definitely pick up a copy and start reading!
